Go To Nations often has missionaries and teams located within reach of desperate communities affected by floods, typhoons, earthquakes, fires and more. The Disaster Relief Fund gathers and accumulates funds so that Go To Nations personnel can be first responders in critical events. Because of our training, church relationships and networks, we are often able to respond quickly with food, water, mosquito nets, clothing, etc., much more quickly than the major relief organizations. Additionally we are able to build lasting relationships within the Christian Community.
Current Crisis:
A devastating 7.8 earthquake has struck the southern region of Mindanao in the Philippines, leaving communities damaged and families displaced. Several missionaries serving in remote Muslim communities near the epicenter have lost homes and are currently sheltering in tents as relief efforts begin.
Our teams are mobilizing to bring emergency supplies, transportation assistance, and direct support into some of the hardest-hit areas, including Balut Island, where access remains difficult due to severe port damage and limited communication. Despite the devastation, this crisis has created a powerful opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to communities in urgent need.
