RESPONDING TO THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS
On behalf of our Board of Directors, Executive Leadership, World Headquarters Team, and Field Missionaries around the world, Go To Nations extends our prayers for the global community during this global crisis. As an international organization, we understand the gravity of this challenge. We have committed to honor the government directives released locally and nationally, both for the United States as well as for each nation where Go To Nations missionaries reside and work. We stand postured in faith that God is going to redeem this, using it for His glory.
As of August 31st, 2021*, the following protocols will be enacted organization-wide:
*Updating from our originally published organization-wide protocols on March 24, 2020.
- Our World Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida is currently open Monday - Thursday, operating at near-full capacity with some limited restrictions.
- Overseas short-term missions are operating on a case-by-case basis (per destination country) until further notice, including trips scheduled with Discover Missions, Missions Mobilization, and Church Empowerment.
- All missionary travel (domestic & international) will be in accordance with the directives and travel restrictions designated by each state / country (both country of departure and country of arrival). It is important to realize that any travel at this time may incur unplanned lockdowns and / or quarantines. All travelers will be required to honor governmental self-quarantine directives. NOTE: Due to the known and unknown risks and liabilities of this pandemic, Go To Nations has created a pandemic-related “Health Risk and Release of Liability Form” (notarization required). Missionaries who host guests outside of Go To Nations, whether family members or short-term teams, will be required to have each traveler complete this form and submit to: [email protected], Attn: Christopher Conley.
- Corporate events, including The Sender’s Gala on November 6th, 2021, are moving forward to be held as “live” events, which may include streaming options and with some limited restrictions.
- All on-site and off-site Equipping events, including the Missionary Preparation & Orientation (MPO) scheduled for February 2022 and the Timothy Internship Program* (TIP) scheduled for September – November 2021 are fully operational, with some limited restrictions. NOTE: TIP Participants for 2021 will be required to complete the recently amended Health Risk and Release of Liability Form (notarization required), which stipulates additional requirements in case of pandemic upsurge.
- We are recommending all Go To Nations members to follow safety measures to ensure the health of themselves and their loved ones, to do their own research, and to stay prayerful, in faith, and vigilant in this season.
Our Team Chapel services will be streamed via ZOOM; however, services will be held “live” in the Go To Nations Ministry Center unless otherwise notified.
We have all been touched or affected in some way by this current health crisis; however, we are laboring through live, digital, and virtual formats to keep accomplishing Christ's mission with passion. Our Executive Leadership will be continuing to monitor the information released nationally by the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as updates from our local government authorities.
